GENERAL EXPERIENCE:     I was inspired by a math professor I had in college who was very passionate about teaching and math. He made such an impact on me that I majored in math. After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Math, I spent a year taking graduate courses in math and I taught a College Algebra class. I especially enjoyed working one on one with the students. I have experience tutoring math and have always enjoyed helping other people to learn. I have spent 10 years of my life as a student in higher education and recently graduated as a Dentist. Education will always be a part of my life and I want to share my passion through tutoring.
APPROACH TO TUTORING:    Math is about problem solving, and I like to help students learn how to develop problem solving skills. It isn't just about memorization, it is about learning the process of problem solving so that what they learn on one problem can be used on other problems. I like to help students find the method of learning that is best for them. I try to use examples from real life to restate an equation in a way that may be more clear to the student. With geometry, pictures can help clarify equations. Repetition is helpful in math, and I like to slightly change a problem to reinforce something new. When the student successfully completes the second problem, they feel more confident about what they are learning. I also believe there are no stupid questions. The student should feel comfortable asking questions because they need to ask questions to learn.
