GENERAL EXPERIENCE: I love working with learners of all ages and backgrounds. When I see kids struggling I want to help them achieve their goals. With lack of funding and large class sizes in public schools some children are falling through the cracks. This isn't the fault of the teacher necessarily but these kids definitely need extra help. I want to be there to help these kids realize what they can really do. All of my college and post college work has been with helping learners in some way or another. For the last 5 years I have been working in all areas of the learning process, from training to program development. My main focus and passion has centered on students though and I think that the people I have tutored and taught in the past would say that I really helped them understand something that was really difficult for them.

APPROACH TO TUTORING: I can adapt my tutoring style to what the student requires and the subject. I love to teach kids easier ways of doing things. My educational career was spent maximizing my study to time ratio. I am very friendly and patient. Working with learners is my passion and I like to keep it light and fun so they can learn without some of the unpleasantness associated with working on something that is really tough for them. I also make sure that the learner always feels good about what they are doing. Discouragement is the number one study killer and I like to remedy that by breaking down what they are doing into more manageable chunks
