  GENERAL EXPERIENCE:     As a current PhD student in biomedical engineering at the University of Minnesota, I can directly relate to the difficulties of class work as I go through the same struggles on a daily basis. I feel that my extensive experience in school has taught me many valuable lessons that I can pass on to my students. I have worked for two tutoring companies in the past and have really enjoyed helping students clear the hurdles that confront them. My areas of expertise include all mathematics and science courses through college level (although I have worked with many students at the most basic levels) as well as SAT/ACT preparation. In addition to receiving top scores on these standardized tests, I have received training on test-taking strategies from an exclusive tutoring company.
  APPROACH TO TUTORING:    I have found that I don't have a strict style when it comes to tutoring. I really feel that every student has different needs and I adjust my style to get the maximal performance from each student. I have worked with students that simply need some pushing to get motivated and others that need a more visual representation of concepts to understand them fully.
