  APPROACH TO TUTORING:    After first getting acquainted with a new student, I assess the student's basic skills (reading and math for K-12 students, completed ACT/GED pre-test) so that we can focus on the appropriate areas. The student plays a primary role in setting short- and long-term goals for our sessions. As effective study habits are key to a student's success, we discuss study strategies, schedule and location so that the student develops organization and self-discipline in meeting deadlines and turning in assignments. We consistently check progress to see that the student is accomplishing goals set forth from the beginning of the program. Tutoring has been a significant part of my life for the past 12 years. I enjoy new challenges and have received numerous positive testimonials from many satisfied clients. I always welcome new clients and would be glad to help you overcome your unique challenges!
