GENERAL EXPERIENCE:     I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a political science major and a political science minor. In addition, I took a substantial number of history courses. Afterward, I attended and graduated from law school. Based on that scholastic experience, I am incredibly well versed in the social sciences. I have vast knowledge in areas including civics/government, both U.S. and World History, Psychology, Geography, and Law. Additionally, by virtue of my studies I have gained knowledge and skills that would allow me to tutor student in areas such as reading comprehension, literature, and statistics.
APPROACH TO TUTORING:    I would characterize my style as "flexible," which is to say that I am willing and prepared to tutor in whichever manner helps my student learn the subject matter. Clearly, not every individual learns in the same way. While I don't advocate a strict Socratic method, I believe that asking questions and helping a student figure out the answer for him or herself is a successful way in which to leave the student with lasting knowledge.
