GENERAL EXPERIENCE: What I bring is not only my knowledge, but also my experience as a test taker and student. I've been through AP classes, ACT prep sessions, and studying for exams in college. My area of expertise is accounting and finance. Not only that, but I'm a well rounded person, with knowledge of math, science, economics, and business concepts. I especially love math and can do any
math so long as it is not beyond pre-calculus.
As English is my second language, I can provide extra help to those students who fluent speak Hmong. I can reach across cultural barriers because I am from a different culture. My most significant attribute is that in the areas of accounting that is college level and less, I can guide anyone through it all so that they understand what accounting is all about. Recently graduated, I've retained most of what I've learned. I'm a good student myself when I was still a student with a GPA of 3.49.
I don't have a teaching certificate, but I proficient in my field of expertise. As long as I can legally tutor, I will tutor so that they person understands what they need to understand, in my case, accounting, finance, economics, and math.

APPROACH TO TUTORING: My philosophy of tutoring is that everyone is able to know and understand. Tutoring is like clearing away all the fogs so that one can see clearer. Essentially, learning is soli done by the individual and most satisfying; this satisfaction will drive even further learning. Tutor affects how a person understands for better or for worst. Being a tutor, you get to change how much a person understands through the participation of both parties and hopefully for the better of the tutee. In this way, if you tutor someone, you will have to guide them through whatever obstacles are in the student's way. The tutor must identify the obstacles and quickly respond to them. Some obstacles may include "why" questions that are not direct in helping the students finish or understanding the process of arithmetic, and accounting. Another is understanding concepts, and principals. As a tutor, we can't neglect fundamentals as basic as these. One other thing that can make tutoring difficult is the external factors that both parties bring. The tutor may be preoccupied with personal issues or the "tutee" may have personal problems that will distract learning. However, if both agrees that this time is for the sake of learning, than learning is possible. You learn because you want to and nothing is going to stop you.
I believe that with knowledge and experience, one can tutor another to become very good at whatever that subject is and guiding that student to become even better than his or her tutor. In retrospect, tutoring is in itself the end of itself, because you tutor so that that person won't need tutoring anymore. It's not very good business, but it's for the the better of all; therefore, it's a better cause than anyone can ever imagine.
