  GENERAL EXPERIENCE:     I have worked as a tutor for both University and High School level students. The university level tutoring took place at the University of Minnesota Duluth Tutoring Center, and involved working 1-on-1 and also group tutoring. The high school level tutoring was part of program through the university. People would call in requesting tutors, and the tutors would contact the individual or his/her parent(s) and set up frequency and time. Appointments usually took place at the student's residence in the evenings.
  APPROACH TO TUTORING:    My approach to tutoring is to determine what the student is struggling with at the current time. The is always a teacher's assignment or lesson plan, and I like to coincide with the current coursework. I try to teach the material in a simplistic fashion which is very easy for the student to grasp. My philosophy is not every student/teacher combination works. Some times the only problem is is that the teacher moves through the material too quickly for some students to grasp the concepts.
