  GENERAL EXPERIENCE:     During high school I was the top of my math classes throughout. I would help other students with their assignments as I was able to word it differently then the teacher and they could understand it. My first teaching license was elementary and I love working with that age group. Eventually I followed through with getting my education and license so that I could teach math specifically up to Algebra. I spent the last two years teaching 5th through 9th graders all different levels of math. I loved it. I also tutored one of my students over the summer at his home. I am currently working as a substitute math teacher at the middle school level as my previous employer closed due to lack of enrollment. I can establish a relationship with any student. One of my former students texted me and told me to save his number so I could be his personal tutor this year for his math class at his new school. That confirmed for me how great of a teacher/student relationship I am able to build. I truly believe that all students can be successful and deserve to be.
  APPROACH TO TUTORING:    I am open to any kind of tutoring style. I usually use the materials that the student has from the school. Work on current homework/lessons and go from there. I do believe that practice helps and so I do appreciate when students can work on a specific activities in between tutoring sessions.
