  GENERAL EXPERIENCE:     College: Saint John's University, Collegeville, MN, B.S, Biology with minors in German and Management Tutoring Experience: 3 months Subject Area: GIS My educational background is founded upon the liberal arts philosophy with a focus in the sciences. After graduating from Saint John's with a Biology major that included a class load ranging from Human Anatomy to Limnology, I pursued a graduate degree in Geographic Information Science. This field allowed myself to follow an interest of mine that uses technology to solve real-world problems. My tutoring strengths are based on my 9+ years of working with kids ranging from the ages of 5-17 through recreation programs and coaching. In addition, my education has allowed me to have a broad basis that will allow me to cover numerous subjects.
  APPROACH TO TUTORING:    The style I use for tutoring is a specialized situation for each student. I believe that you need to get to know the student before attempting to relate the information to them. Once you are able to find interests that the student has, you can relate things to that interest. For example when working with a middle school student during the past year I related a mathematical problem to football.
